Halo 5: Guardians
Halo fans, the wait is finally over. Our beloved series is finally coming back in fall of 2015! I would be even more thrilled, except that it will only come out on Xbox One.
The title of the game will be Halo 5: Guardians. We were first introduced to the idea of another Halo game in the franchise during last year's E3 convention in a teaser trailer, shown below.
Was anyone else curious why Master Chief would need to wear a robe when he's in hi-tech armor?
In addition to the new title, and the new platform, there will be a lot of performance changes in this installment. The game will be bigger in scope, as well as running on a new, more powerful engine. It will also run at 60 fps (frames per second). This is truly going to be a next-gen experience.
On June 9th, at this year's E3 convention, more details will be addressed at the Xbox Media Briefing, so stay tuned!
This announcement is riding on the heels of another major announcement for Microsoft- An Xbox One without the Kinect included. This also brought the price down to that of the Playstation 4, at $399. Coincidence? I think not.
What was your favorite Halo game? Let me know in the comments! (Mine is still Halo 3.)
